Youth and Children's Programs - Grant Writing Workshop

Saturday, January 21, 2006 from 12 noon to 4 pm

Location: Greater Works Ministries

*This workshop is for novice to intermediate grant writers. No prior experience is needed. This is perfect for those who want to volunteer, are working with a local or community based youth organization, or are seeking help finding appropriate grant sources.

Co-sponsors: United Methodist Church of the Open Door (Kennett Square), Greater Works Ministry (Kennett Square), and Communities That Care (CTC).

Trainers: Antoinette Gomez, Rachel Manson, Angela Ogunde, Chuck Weed, Brenda Williams, and Tonya Tynes

Each person is to bring 1 covered dish (to feed 5-8 people). Covered dishes include potato salad, green salad, sandwich rolls and meats, pies/cakes, macaroni and cheese, Casseroles, vegetables, etc.

The cost of the training materials is $5 (checks made payable to the UM Church of the Open Door) w! ith registration forms. These materials must include a 1-2 page outline of your grant and budget can be returned to A. Gomez 306 S. Union St. Apt.3 Kennett Square, PA 19348 Outlines or draft proposals will help your ministry team and our trainers in preparing for 1/21/05. Please send all materials by 1/10/06.
